Unlocking 5s steps: one is upsetting me and it's about iOS 11


hello all. may know, of december 1st, canadian providers sell unlocked phones 24 months terms and/or unlock phone have them free. provider fido unlocked 5s ota finishing job, have make backup via itunes or icloud, restore iphone original settings restore backup. step upsetting me: 5s running 10.3.3 , don't want upgrade ios 11. itunes or icloud install ios 11 before restoring apps , datas made backup of. option: if have non-fido sim, insert in iphone , "follow instructions" have no idea be. can give me hand please. anyhow want 5s unlocked.

there's been no need restore since 2011.

put in different sim. if it's unlocked you'll asked apple id , password.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
