iPhone 8(+) iPhone 8 vs 8 plus camera differences

my wife has iphone 6s , upgrade phone have better camera. options on plus version not of interest; zoom, portrait , lighting modes gimmicks her; however, 1 thing cough our attention when reviewing spec of both phones plus version has wide angle main camera vs regular size iphone.

iphone 8 spec sheet says
ƒ/1.8 aperture

iphone 8 plus spec sheet says:
wide-angle: ƒ/1.8 aperture

mean main camera on plus different on 8? if not mistaken, many people stated camera on 8 , main camera on 8 plus identical, spec sheet says otherwise?

appreciate input on matter.

 

the plus lens called wide angle differentiate telephoto. not necessary on 8 there 1 lens.
i’m pretty sure it’s identical, plus doesn’t have ultrawide/fish eye or anything.

if there tandem version of bicycle, call ‘seat’ called ‘front seat’ despite being identical.
