Strange trackpad behaviour on 2012 MBP 13inch. (non-rt)

for little on year , half i've been experiencing weird trackpad behaviour on mid-2012 macbook pro. @ first noticed either got extremely sensitive or super slow, lowered speed. making weird sounds when clicked, if displaced on topcase. found strange solution online of grabbing mbp it's side , clicking while holding that- surprisingly worked several times, temporary fix. more response issues, not doing when clicked, not letting me select text, etc. past few months has been behaving fine until today, when again it's not letting me select text properly. noticed problem gets worse if rest palm on aluminium body, particularly on left side i've experienced right side.

got service battery warning (of talked in different thread) , decided live while local aasp overcharges lot. sign battery swelling? should worry it? i've been told macbook's trackpads known fail, true newer models, case mine?

if think battery swelling, should remove asap , examine signs of leakage or swelling.
