hi, couple of days ago hired new 50mb internet service (i had 6mb connection company). gave me technicolor modem 2.4ghz , 5.8ghz @ same time (this new world me!) have modem in living room in ground floor beside tv, 50mb under speedtest.net test works perfect on smarttv, mobile phone (beside modem); on studio in 1st floor have imac late 2009 (at 7mt distance modem, no wall , no doors between). 5.8ghz download speed reaches 22mb maximum (very similar speed if switch 2.4ghz). thought distance issue, because mobile phone speed connection on sutdio 25mb) , clear doubt connected imac beside modem (ground floor), surprisedly download speed same (about 22mb), no major changes carrying computer beside modem (my old samsung mobile phone can detect both wifi , works perfect not imac) couldn't believe because if distance issue i'd ask technicians move modem 1st floor beside computer, looks not distance issue, connected modem via ethernet , worked perfectly...

hi guys, have transitioned on apple week. bought new macbook pro touch bar... , imac 5k 27" among other things. theres things like, thread system font sizes. think tiny... small, , surprises me isn't more spoken about. girlfriend, 26yrs old , has 20/20 vision has macbook on lap , has arch forwards read whats on screen. me, 32, near perfect vision, , on imac struggle quite see text. have move closer read , isn't comfy. having big bright monitor close face frequently. find font sizes bit inconsistent. example, in mail app, read emails can describe having font size of 8px... on other emails, seems more reasonable 11px. (these pixel sizes comparative estimations based on text looks on old 1080p windows pc) example of small text, copied on files external hardrive... title "copying items" small acceptable... underneath it, says "64gb of 76gb copied" id describe 6px. have space on big monitor... , text isn't makin...

anyone else having issues home invites? i've tried both , iphone , ipad running 11.2.1 , 11.2.5. invite appears send , shows pending status on end sender. recipient never receives invite. i've tried dozen times per device without luck.   i having issue before attempted reset devices , re-create home. hey guys, i'm going switch imac desktop pc , have been macbook pro user years. needless thrilled because not pc fan @ all. don't have yet , planning new 2017 27" imac 4.2 ghz i7-7700k processor, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd. 1 thing on new imac on pc use handbrake render h.264 1080p mp4 mkv files using high quality custom settings , h.265 4k once future appletv's support. current pc running windows 7 64 bit, has i7-4770k (not overclocked) processor, 16gb ram , corsair h80i cpu cooler 2 ssd drives. when loading handbrake que several video files on pc 4 cores running @ 100% , not go on 57° celcius happy with. holding on pc purpose if imac has problems. main concern cooling. running processor @ 80° or higher extensive times can damage computer , shorten life of processor , want avoid that. going want avoid imac or there ways sufficiently cool it?   i've got same spec imac...
