i have problem family member’s western digital passport drives. has 27” 2017 imac. has 2 new wd usb 3 drives. regularly swapped , used time machine backups, unreliable. gets message titled “time machine couldn’t complete backup to...”, “unable complete backup. error occurred while creating backup folder”. if ejects drive, unplugs , plugs in backup fine. says can put imac sleep, wake , manually force backup. if backs up. other times can wake machine , find error. have ideas? don’t think related couldn’t reformat these drives hfs+ when got them using apple’s disk utilty. couldn’t rename drive either. had use western digital utility reformat drive. after rename drive. western digital blame nonsense or apple? i’ve used wd drives in past , loved them, unacceptable.   if drives format own utility points being wd problem - i've not heard of specific problem this...   ...

i had problem on sierra, , having intermittently on high sierra. use mail , have exchange mail account set in internet accounts. have icloud , google set normally. sometimes, i'll notice exchange email stops updating, realize internet accounts have reverted version exchange server office 365 instead of current exchange setup (hasn't been office 365 on year) , in addition facebook , twitter accounts show well, they're deactivated. google , icloud not change. setup looks have used late 2015/early 2016. i'll delete added, re-add current exchange mail account, , mind business return , mail stop working. searching issues has not been helpful since cannot find real solution people problem. now, use icloud keychain , figure fault there in internet account synching since current mbp never had these internet accounts keep showing up. but. have installed fresh version of os x high sierra already. reset icloud keychain device's keychai...

i bought imac 21.5' 2017 on jan. 2nd 2018 in japan. regarding applecare, according apple japan says can buy applecare+ until 30 days after purchase. https://www.apple.com/jp/support/products/mac.html since don't have money buy now, want buy normal applecare within 1 year limited warranty period. no information regarding anywhere. having similar experiences? , if can go normal applecare within year apple need check hardware before issuing me applecare plan?   i don't know sure japanese release, in us, applecare + available imac. it's 60 days system purchase add acare+ but, page appears show time period told - within 30 days. because not buying acare+ @ time of purchase, apple can run remote diagnostic @ time ready purchase acare+ can call applecare this, if like, same answer: older applecare product not available now.   ...
